Overview:
Our client, a global healthcare leader, is seeking an Area Business Manager to drive business-to-business engagement within targeted customer segments. This role delivers clinically relevant sales messaging to grow revenue and achieve portfolio goals while acting as an account orchestrator to ensure a seamless customer experience and improved provider and patient outcomes. Success requires strong cross-functional collaboration across the U.S. business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who demonstrates independence, accountability, and high ethical standards while exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed product-specific sales targets to grow portfolio share and revenue.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, effectively positioning and differentiating products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., MSLs, Market Access, Account Managers) to meet customer needs.
  • Analyze market trends to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business goals.
  • Use territory data and analytics to generate insights that support HCP decision-making and patient care.
  • Adapt strategies using digital tools and AI to enhance engagement.
  • Identify opportunities and implement strategic business plans to increase product utilization.
  • Communicate portfolio value, including contract options and competitive positioning.
  • Operate within a buy-and-bill model, managing pricing, compliance, and logistics.
  • Plan and execute local promotional programs and manage budgets effectively.
  • Contribute to broader sales initiatives, including events and industry meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device B2B sales experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, market trends, and decision-making processes
  • Proven ability to influence decision-makers and succeed in a B2B environment
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid, omnichannel environment and adapt engagement strategies
  • Experience using data and analytics to generate insights and solutions
  • Scientific curiosity with a willingness to continuously learn about disease states and treatments
  • Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
