Overview:

Our client is seeking a strategic leader to drive U.S. market access initiatives across a diverse pharmaceutical portfolio. As Director, you will optimize customer engagement strategies, shape access initiatives for high-impact products, and support future product launch planning. You will join a high-performing, cross-functional team that includes experts in Market Access, Health Economics & Value Assessment (HEVA), Pricing, Policy, Public Affairs, and Brand Strategy. You will collaborate closely with U.S. and global colleagues, including field-based access and reimbursement teams, ensuring alignment across strategy, execution, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive U.S. market access strategy in alignment with brand, pricing, reimbursement, and customer engagement objectives.
  • Partner with health systems, providers, and internal stakeholders to optimize customer engagement and ensure therapies and innovations are positioned effectively for patients and customers.
  • Guide and support field-based access and reimbursement teams by developing customer-facing materials and delivering training on appropriate and compliant use.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Contracting, and HEVA teams to communicate the clinical and real-world value of products and support reimbursement, pricing, and contracting discussions.
  • Develop and execute reimbursement strategies, including coding approaches, access planning for new products, and competitive market assessments.
  • Represent the customer perspective across cross-functional teams including Brand, HEVA, Pricing, Contracting, Policy, and Public Affairs.
  • Monitor market access trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic planning and execution while sharing insights and best practices across teams.
  • Identify health IT (HIT) and quality measure opportunities that support business objectives and enhance market access strategies.
  • Partner with Early Commercial and Business Development teams to evaluate and support pipeline and growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a key member of product launch teams by supporting access strategy, brand planning, and execution activities.
  • Collaborate closely with brand teams to support market access priorities and broader commercial initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Must have 8–10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement, or payer strategy within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Proven success in product launches and cross-functional leadership
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with value-based contracting and provider risk models preferred
