Overview:

Our client is a global healthcare leader seeking a Regional Business Director to join their team. The Regional Business Director is responsible for leading and developing a team of Sales Representatives to drive business growth, strengthen customer relationships, and achieve regional sales objectives. This role combines strategic leadership, sales execution, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize performance, identify growth opportunities, and deliver business results across a designated geographic region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Representatives to achieve sales and business objectives.
  • Create and execute regional business plans aligned with organizational goals and market opportunities.
  • Analyze sales, customer, and market data to identify growth opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Support customer acquisition, retention, and expansion through effective account planning and customer engagement strategies.
  • Coach team members on identifying key stakeholders, navigating complex customer environments, and maximizing business opportunities.
  • Monitor regional performance, establish key metrics, and implement actions to improve results and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to address customer needs, align business strategies, and execute key initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate business performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of sales, business development, account management, or related commercial experience
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience managing sales or customer-facing teams
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive business results.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience leading complex customer accounts, strategic initiatives, product launches, or market expansion efforts preferred
  • Knowledge of contracting, pricing, reimbursement, managed markets, and commercial operations preferred
  • Exposure to multiple business functions, including sales operations, training, marketing, customer solutions, or managed care preferred
