Overview:
Our client, an innovative medical aesthetics and technology company, is seeking a Head of Global Ethics & Compliance to build and lead its global compliance function. This role will establish a practical, scalable compliance framework across the U.S., Canada, and key international markets while partnering closely with senior leadership and commercial teams to support growth and business integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Build and implement a global ethics and compliance program, including policies, procedures, governance, and controls.
- Establish core policies covering anti-bribery/anti-corruption, HCP interactions, promotional practices, conflicts of interest, and third-party engagement.
- Lead promotional and marketing material reviews for regulatory and industry compliance.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Clinical teams to provide practical, business-focused compliance guidance.
- Lead compliance investigations, remediation, monitoring, and audits.
- Establish and manage a confidential compliance reporting process.
- Oversee third-party compliance due diligence and ongoing risk management.
- Monitor U.S., Canadian, and international regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance.
- Develop and deliver practical, role-specific compliance training.
- Provide senior leadership with clear reporting, metrics, and insights into compliance risks and program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 6 – 10+ years of in-house ethics and compliance experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries
- Experience in medical aesthetics or injectables strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with promotional review/PRC or MLR processes
- Proven experience building or significantly developing a compliance program within a small-to-mid-sized or entrepreneurial organization
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian healthcare compliance requirements; international experience a plus
- Experience managing investigations from intake through remediation
- Strong business judgment with a practical, solutions-oriented approach to compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders
- JD/legal background or compliance certification (e.g., CCEP) is preferred
- Willingness to travel regularly as needed
