Overview:

Our client is a leading capital aesthetics device company making significant advancements in the field of medical aesthetics and surgical technologies with their FDA-cleared facial rejuvenation device. They are developing next-generation minimally invasive surgical solutions.

They are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to help accelerate the growth of the business. In this position, you will be responsible to perform customer support activities for equipment, systems and sub-systems at customers’ site or at head office. This role will install/service/repair/upgrade and perform preventative maintenance with a high level of skill, detail and account management.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, test, calibrate and install laser systems, sub-systems and/or sub-assemblies during field visits, dispatches or at head office
  • Identify any potential problems which could impact timely completion of assigned tasks, equipment shortcomings and more complex equipment problems
  • Maintain complete and accurate service records
  • Interact with customers and monitor accounts
  • Provide professional, courteous, enthusiastic, prompt, and skilled technical service to customers
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers as required
  • Complete physical inventory when asked
  • Maintain company tools, fixtures and test equipment in satisfactory condition
  • Adhere to company guidelines regarding safety procedures
  • Continually develop positive relations within sales and service team
  • Continually develop company and product knowledge
  • Adhere to company policies and accounting procedures for purchases, ordering of spare parts, car stock, and prompt return on all RMA’s
  • Maintain a minimum of service recalls
  • Completion of other various tasks as assigned by management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish, maintain, and update technical support processes providing responses/answers to common questions and problems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electronics, Laser Technology or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • 75% travel required, including travels involving overnight lodging
  • Ability to travel internationally a big plus
  • Medical devices experience a strong plus
  • Familiarity with computers, DOS, Word and Excel, Salesforce
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of optics, electronics, cooling systems, power supplies and laser systems
  • Strong customer service skills, positive attitude, and ability to communicate with others clearly and tactfully
  • Prioritization and multi-tasking skills required
  • Excellent communication, customer interaction and phone interaction skills required
