Overview:

The Director of Government Pricing and Compliance drives the Government Pricing Calculations for all government contracts for the US business unit to ensure business practices and activities are compliant with regulations, guidelines, and legislative requirements. They must be up-to-date on all changes to government pricing calculations proposed by the federal government and provide oversight and guidance to the broader Market Access team, particularly Strategic Pricing and Government Contracts as well as senior management. The Director of Government Pricing & Compliance must be able to employ practical assumptions and historical performance to offer predictive analytics on impacts to government pricing calculations due to changes in the private strategy. This position is also expected to lead the Compliance effort for Pasteur as it relates to government pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and maintain the Government Pricing Calculation process to ensure compliance with US regulations and policies
  • Lead the Market Access Compliance Committee and conduct risk assessments to identify process gaps and implement appropriate mitigation plans
  • Create and execute government pricing strategies aligned with business models while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provide expert guidance on government pricing implications for any potential changes in pricing or contracting strategies
  • Ensure accuracy of government pricing calculations, processes, and internal training
  • Develop forecasts to determine commercial pricing impacts on government calculations
  • Monitor interfaces and reconcile government pricing transaction repository to GL to ensure accuracy in customer transactions and government pricing calculations
  • Stay current on all proposed changes to government pricing calculations by federal authorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and compliance requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing with at least 3 years specifically in government pricing calculations
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • Brings a passion for accuracy, timeliness and transparency that enables a thriving play to win “let’s do this” culture
  • In-depth knowledge of US Government Pricing regulations for Federal Contracts including FSS, Medicare (ASP), and Medicaid
  • Proficient in analyzing complex data sets and working with contract data systems (SAP, Model N)
  • Possess strong forecasting capabilities and experience in pricing strategy development
  • Expertise in leading compliance programs and optimizing internal processes
  • Advanced skills in data analysis using Excel, Access, and other relevant applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Thrive in fast-paced settings with a strong sense of urgency
